Notes from Doggie Harmony

Marley's owner has to go out of country by the end of October so we are looking for a new home or a foster.

Marley is young and energetic. He has some training, he knows commands, sit, lie down and stay. He is crate trained but gets very excited when crated with people around. He can be a little head-strong but continued training, and an understanding of who is in charge, will help greatly.

He does not have experience with other dogs but again, gets excited when they are around.

We say only older, respectful kids because he is young and strong and has some resource guarding with his food.

Age: 3 years

Weight: 101 lbs

Temperament: Gets along with older respectful kids

Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, some basic training

Vetting: neuter will be part of adoption agreement, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

What happens next

  1. Contact Doggie Harmony using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Doggie Harmony, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
