Kaylie FOSTER.DEPOSIT
Mixed Breed · Young (1 year 5 months) · Female · Small · LaBelle, FL
Notes from Caloosa Humane Society
This sweet little Dachshund mix is estimated to be just 1 year old and has already endured more than any dog should.
She was dumped in the Muse area with two other dogs and spent nearly two weeks trying to survive on her own before finally being captured in a watermelon field and brought to safety.
Now that she’s safe, Kaylie is showing everyone just how wonderful she is.
💕 Calm and easygoing 💕 Great with dogs, cats, and children 💕 Loves treats 💕 Loves being held 💕 A true lap dog who just wants to be close to her people
Kaylie is currently receiving treatment for heartworms and is available for adoption applications now. She can either complete treatment while her new family fosters or remain at the shelter until treatment is finished. She will be spayed one month after her final heartworm injection. Adoption can be completed once she is spayed.
The part that breaks our hearts? 💔 The two dogs she arrived with—who we believe may be her brother and sister—both have applications pending. Soon, Kaylie may be the only one left behind.
We’re hoping someone sees what we see: a loving, gentle little dog who deserves a second chance at the life she was always meant to have.
What happens next
- Contact Caloosa Humane Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
- They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Caloosa Humane Society, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
