Notes from Caloosa Humane Society

Meet Daisy! 🌼

This beautiful 5½-year-old Shepherd/Curr mix has a heart full of love and is ready to find the family she's been dreaming of. At 58 pounds, she's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. ❤️

One of Daisy's favorite things? Other dogs! 🐶💕 She enjoys canine companionship and would love a home where she can continue to thrive and share her sweet personality.

🎓 Daisy is currently enrolled in the Second Leash on Life Cell Dog Program, a wonderful partnership between Caloosa Humane Society and the Moore Haven Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility.

When she graduates, Daisy will have mastered: ✅ Housebroken ✅ Crate trained ✅ Loose-leash walking ✅ Sit and down on command ✅ Stay in place ✅ Reliable recall (coming when called)

⭐ She will also be AKC Good Canine Citizen test-ready!

Despite being such a wonderful girl, Daisy has spent 240 days waiting for her forever family. That's more than 7 months of hoping each day will be the day someone falls in love with her.

Imagine bringing home a dog that's not only sweet and affectionate, but also trained, well-mannered, and eager to please. That's Daisy.

What happens next

  1. Contact Caloosa Humane Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Caloosa Humane Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
