American Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat) · Adult (6 years) · Female · Medium · Fort Lauderdale, FL
Notes from Humane Society of Broward County
WATCH MY VIDEO...Sweet Ajah is a 6-year-old girl who is hoping someone will see past the circumstances that brought her to the shelter and give her the second chance she deserves. Ajah was brought to us after her owner lost their home. She did absolutely nothing wrong. Yet suddenly, the home and family she knew were gone. Despite everything, Ajah remains a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She loves children, even little ones as young as babies, and she would happily spend her days right beside you. In fact, Ajah’s idea of the perfect day probably involves climbing right onto your lap and staying there! Our volunteers say she is super affectionate, loves getting pets, and really wants to be a lap dog. Ajah is potty trained, loves toys, and is generally calm, although she can get a little hyper when her playful side takes over. She is also very treat motivated, which should make teaching her new things lots of fun. Ajah loves other dogs, although a meet and greet is always recommended when introducing her to a canine companion. Cats, however, are a different story. She is mainly afraid of them, so she would be happiest in a home without cats where she can relax and feel comfortable. With her gentle personality, love of affection, and devotion to her people, Ajah has so much love left to give. She lost her home through no fault of her own. Now she just needs someone to show her that losing one home doesn't mean losing her chance at a forever family. If you’re looking for a loving companion who would happily trade the shelter for your lap, Ajah would love to meet you.
