WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Mackenzie, a handsome brindle Lab mix who's just 1 year and 7 months old and ready to leave his difficult past behind him! This fun-loving boy has already been through more than any young dog should have to endure. Mackenzie had a home, but his owner rehomed him. When his new owner was notified that Mackenzie was at our shelter, he never came to get him. We can't imagine how confusing all these changes must be for this sweet boy, who deserves nothing more than a family he can count on. Maybe, though, this is the beginning of something better for Mackenzie. We want to find him a true forever home, one where he'll never have to wonder where he belongs again. Understandably, Mackenzie is feeling nervous in the shelter. After all, his world has been turned upside down several times, and he's still trying to figure out what's happening. With a little patience, reassurance, and a family willing to help him settle in, we believe he can begin to feel safe and secure. Mackenzie is still a young pup with so much potential! He already knows how to sit, and his ideal family will be willing to continue his training, especially working on his leash skills. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of love, he can keep learning and growing into the wonderful companion we know he can be. This handsome boy has had enough uncertainty for one young lifetime. It's time for Mackenzie to unpack his bags, settle into a loving home, and finally experience the joy of having a family who chooses him for keeps.
