Meet Vanya

Vanya is a beautiful 3-year-old German Shepherd looking for a loving new home after her family made the difficult decision to rehome her due to an upcoming move. This is through no fault of her own.

Vanya is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccines, and fully crate trained. She’s a wonderful companion who loves going for walks, playing fetch with her tennis balls, and spending time at the lake. She’s incredibly treat motivated, making her eager to learn and fun to work with.

At home, Vanya is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle. She has great house manners, doesn’t chew on furniture or belongings, and is happiest relaxing with her people. Like many smart dogs, she’ll investigate the trash or a tempting countertop if food is left out, but she’s come a long way with consistency and training.

Vanya can be anxious when faced with new situations or unfamiliar people, but once she realizes she’s safe, she settles in and shows her loving, loyal personality. She has done well with cats but would do best as the only large dog in the home. She may also need a little extra patience when meeting some men, allowing her to build trust at her own pace.

We’re looking for a family that understands the German Shepherd breed and will give Vanya the structure, exercise, and love she deserves. In return, you’ll have a loyal best friend who will be by your side through everything.
