Notes from Hunter's Village Rescue

Meet Walker!

If you are looking for a playful, happy-go-lucky buddy to join your pack, Walker is your guy!

About Walker:

Age: 1 year old

Weight: ~9 pounds

Breed: Rat Terrier Mix

* Needs a Pup Pal: Walker is super dog-focused and 100% needs a dog sibling in his forever home to run and wrestle with.

* Dog Friendly: He’s insanely friendly with every small dog he meets and does fantastic with big dogs, too!

* Play > Snuggles: He’s not much of a lap snuggler—he’d much rather spend his time wrestling with his foster siblings, doing energetic zoomies, and living his best life.

* All-Around Good Boy: Overall, he is a bright, happy, easygoing dog who would thrive in any dog-loving household with a playmate.

* Crate trained and is learning how to walk politely on a leash and is making great progress. His potty training is a work in progress.

Walker is one of 14 terrier mixes Hunter’s Village Rescue rescued from a hoarding case of 85 dogs out of Lake county. 13 of the terriers are still available for adoption! His adoption donation is $250 and will include vaccines, microchip and neuter. Please follow this link to submit an application: https://bit.ly/3GDeyyo

What happens next

  1. Contact Hunter's Village Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Hunter's Village Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
