Notes from Pet Rescue By Judy

Meet Amora – A Hidden Gem Waiting for Her Person Hello, my name is Amora. I’ve heard people say I’m beautiful—and I won’t argue with that! But there’s so much more to me than just my looks. I’ve been at PRBJ for over six years, patiently waiting for the right person to come along. That’s more than half my life spent dreaming of a place to call home. Why So Long? The truth is, I need time. I don’t warm up to new people right away, but once you earn my trust, I will love you fiercely and forever. I never forget those who show me kindness. I’m loyal, gentle with those I trust, and I truly just want a quiet home where I can relax and feel safe. Here’s What You Should Know About Me:

I walk well on a leash, though I prefer short strolls over long adventures—especially if you’re by my side. I would do best in a calm, adult-only home (1–2 adults max) with very little foot traffic. I must be the only pet in the home. No dogs, cats, birds, or squirrels (I’ve got strong feelings about them). A fish might be okay! I need patience, understanding, and consistency—but I promise, I’m worth it.

Still Reading? That Means You Might Be the One. If you think you might be the special person I’ve been waiting for, the team at PRBJ is ready to help us take the journey together. They know me well and are more than willing to support a slow introduction process to make sure we’re the perfect match. It might take time, but I believe in second chances. Do you?

What happens next

  1. Contact Pet Rescue By Judy using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Pet Rescue By Judy, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
