Maisie

MAISIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: MAISIE Best Guess for Breed: Great Pyrenees/Collie Mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of Oct. 2026 SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 35 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Because Maisie can be shy, we think she might do OK with kids but they would need to be dog-savvy. Currently Living at: DC area foster home.

Special adoption considerations: Because Maisie is shy she is required to go to a home with a resident dog who will help show her the ropes!

MAISIE is Looking For: Hi. I am Maisie! Lucky Dog helped me escape Florida when it was hit by a hurricane recently and I am safe thank you!!! You might be able to tell from my picture that I am sweet and a little shy. See, my breed mix is really cool-smart, loyal, and if I may humbly say so, pretty too! With that can also come some independence so while I look forward to bond deeply with my people I’ll be shy with new people at first. In fact, it’d be great and best for me to go to a kind home with a resident dog who can show me the ropes! We could all exercise/play and snuggle together, and my mind will likely do well with toys and games and dog school as well! I know I have it in me to be my forever family’s precious pearl-to be their resilient, wise, best friend. I know you are out there, forever family, come meet me and take me home! Love, Maisie. What My Foster Says About Me: Maisie is doing well! She is a shy girl, but let me give her a bath with no problems at all. She has been doing well in her crate throughout the night and has decided that our dog’s bed is her favorite place to hang out. She loves to play with our one year old dog, Honey (formerly Kristy), and tolerates our grumpy five year old dog. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
