Notes from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

AMARI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Amari Best Guess for Breed: Husky mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of September 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 47 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Consideration: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Amari is Looking For: A forever home! After raising her puppies, she surprised everyone by finding her way back to the people who had helped her—and she’s been happily choosing their company ever since. She has a sweet, independent spirit and seems to appreciate having a safe place to relax and be herself. Now that her mama duties are behind her, she’s ready for a family of her own! As a Husky mix, she’ll likely enjoy an active home with plenty of walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, and opportunities to use her bright mind. She’s looking for a loving family who will give her the attention, exercise, and companionship she deserves while helping her settle into her new life. What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this pup is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog . Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
