Notes from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

LUCIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: LUCIE Best Guess for Breed: ROTTWEILER MIX Best Guess for Age: 10 months as of Sept. 2026 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 45.6 lbs as of 10/21

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Special Considerations: Lucie has a cast on the right forelimb. She is currently being treated for radius/ulnar fractures. She will have the cast in place for an additional 4-5 weeks and then will need exercise restriction until the bone has fully healed. Currently Living at: DC area foster

Lucie is Looking For: This sweet girl is ready to bounce right into your heart and find her forever home. She is looking forward to having her own humans for snuggles and adventures! And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And quality kibble and a cushy dog bed to fuel her best, loyal life. What My Foster Says About Me: We will update once Lucie has spent time in foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .

What happens next

  1. Contact Lucky Dog Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
