Notes from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue
DINA Estimated Age: 10 months as of Oct 2026 Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Dachshund Mix Approx Weight: 29 lbs as of 9/18/26 - she is still growing! Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen them with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Dina has met a cat and was very excited, but may do well with a dog-savy cat sibling. Currently available for adoption in the DC area. Follow my journey on Instagram @jjfostering Special Adoption Considerations: Dina will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. What My Foster Says About Me: Dina is a snuggle bug! She loves to keep you company and is very gentle and loving. She is 10 months old so she still has a lot of puppy energy and gets very excited when she meets new people and other dogs. She will play with herself if necessary and switch between 4-5 toys! She also loves going on long walks but will let you know when she is getting tired as she will sit down mid walk. Dina has done well living both with and without a dog, and in city and suburban environments. She has also been very respectful of kids. Dina is Looking For: Hi there! I'm Dina and I'm looking for a family who's looking for a dog! I'm fun loving, done with my baby puppy phase, and ready to wow you! I have a short list of requests - I'd like a nice bed (yours will do), some yummy kibble, treats, toys, walks, hikes, trips to the dog park and car rides! Oh, and maybe we can take a training class so you can see how smart I am! And when we are done with that, we can hang out on the couch and watch some TV. What do you say, do you think you could be my family??? TO ADOPT DINA: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, vaccinations, transport from the shelter, and her spay. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
