Notes from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

DAKOTA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Dakota Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Pointer Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of August 2026 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 40 lbs as of 8/25

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Dakota with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Dakota could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!

Currently Living at: DC area boarding

Dakota is Looking For: Dakota is a sweet young pup looking for a fresh start! She's young so she's up for any and all adventures---hiking, breweries, dog parks, obedience classes, Netflix & chill, couch snuggles. She'll be happy as long as she a forever family by her side! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
