Notes from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

RANGER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Ranger Best Guess for Breed: Lab and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of August 2026 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 24 lbs as of 7/27/26; is still growing!

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster

Ranger is Looking For: His forever home! Ranger and his sister Remi have enjoyed growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own human families! Remi is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Does Ranger have a spot in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me: Ranger is super sweet, he is just a puppy! He loves to play, engages well with others. He can take a minute to warm up but is easily soothed! He's making fantastic progress in his crate and has been alerting me by scratching at the door when he needs to potty. He enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park and walks pretty well on a leash! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this pup is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
