Be sure to watch his video! Scout is a 1yo male hound mix who was rescued as a stray from the streets of Memphis. Friendly, well socialized, never meets a stranger! Good with other dogs, not cat tested. Scout is very strong and active so he’s recommended for children 6 years and older. Very active outside, but he settles down quickly in the house. Crate trained and housebroken. Loves to be with his people. Fair on the leash, we’re working on it. Rides great in the car. Estimated DOB is 6-25-25. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, neutered, weighs about 55 pounds. Scout’s ideal adopter will have plenty of time for him and be willing to take him to Obedience Class so he can learn commands and become the best pup he can be. AWESOME young hound mix will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner) for an active family... To adopt please fill out an adoption application. What happens next

  1. Contact Good Dog Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Good Dog Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
