Notes from St. Bonnie's Sanctuary/Lange Foundation

Lucy is a very sweet and mellow 12 year old who was abandoned in a carrier. She loves being outside and is happiest sitting in the sun. She loves to sniff everything and relax. She is blind, but she can hear and when she hears your voice she wags her little tail in excitement. Her legs are deformed so she walks a little funny and very low to the ground, but she gets around pretty well. She is very easy-going and low-energy. She loves people and she is so small you can carry her everywhere.

She recently had a dental and had most of her teeth removed and she is feeling much better. She loves eating, loves her treats, and has a great appetite. If you're looking for a senior dog and have a sunny backyard or a patio for her to relax on, Lucy may be the dog for you.

She is estimated to be 12 years old and she weighs 11 lbs.

If you'd like to meet her, please fill out an application: https://langefoundation.org/dog-adoption-application

What happens next

  1. Contact St. Bonnie's Sanctuary/Lange Foundation using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to St. Bonnie's Sanctuary/Lange Foundation, never to AdoptNearby.
