Notes from Yolo County Animal Services Shelter

The name Kratos comes from Greek mythology meaning `strength or `power.` While this handsome 92-pound boy certainly lives up to his powerful name in size, his gentle and affectionate personality shows that true strength can come with the softest heart. Volunteers who have spent time with Kratos have shared some wonderful things about this handsome boy! Walks well on leash—no pulling during recent outings. Likely potty trained— seems to understand that his kennel is his living space. He keeps it clean, even after spending long periods inside! A big cuddle bug—loves affection and has mastered the adorable pittie lean! He'll happily press his big body against you for some extra love and attention. Calm around dogs—recently passed other dogs without barking. While we're still learning about his interactions, this was a lovely observation. Smart boy—Kratos already knows `sit` and `paw`! He's happy to show off his manners. Gentle and alert—sweet, affectionate, confident, and attentive to his handler. He enjoys going for walks but appreciates shorter outings when the weather is hot. If you're looking for a loyal companion, an oversized cuddle buddy, and a handsome best friend to share your adventures with, you've found him! Make an appointment to meet Kratos at yoloshelter.org/dogs, or email adopt@yoloshelter.org. Discover the sweetheart behind the powerful name!
