Notes from Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation

Bouncing Her Way Into Your HeartMeet Janet Leigh—Part Bunny, Part Kangaroo, All Enthusiasm! With her adorable ears, expressive little eyebrows, and happy-go-lucky personality, Janet Leigh is pure sunshine on springs! This bouncy girl LOVES balls, toys, and treats. She's a two-ball kind of gal: throw one, and she'll drop the other! She also enjoys shredding toys, so sturdier options are a must. Janet's enthusiasm sometimes gets ahead of her manners. She'll pop up like a kangaroo for treats and is learning to take them gently and keep four paws on the ground. During an excited scramble for a toy, she accidentally caught a volunteer's hand, breaking skin. That meant another quarantine right after recovering from kennel cough. No wonder this girl's energy is overflowing! The good news? Sniffy walks help Janet decompress and make playtime less frantic. She needs an active, patient adopter committed to exercise, enrichment, and positive training, especially impulse control. Janet isn't short on joy or potential. She just needs someone to help her channel all that enthusiasm into becoming her very best self! Janet has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
