LUNA
Belgian Shepherd Malinois (medium coat) · Adult (4 years 9 months) · Female · Large · Woodland, CA
Notes from Yolo County Animal Services Shelter
Luna is a beautiful 4-year-old, 74-pound Belgian Malinois who arrived at the shelter with her brother, Boss. Luna is the shyer of the two. While Boss is a little more outgoing, Luna takes her time getting comfortable. She's the kind of girl who needs patience, understanding, and someone willing to let her blossom at her own pace. But Luna and Boss do have something special in common. They're both proud graduates of the Houdini School of Escaping! These siblings earned matching degrees in Escape Artistry, with majors in Disappearing Acts and minors in Creative Problem-Solving! Their repeated adventures outside their previous owner's property eventually landed them both at the shelter. Luna is not nearly as eager to bolt or explore every possible exit as her brother. But Luna's future family will still need secure fencing, careful door management, and a commitment to keeping her safe. Maybe Luna doesn't need grand adventures or exciting escapes. Maybe what she really needs is a quiet, loving home where she can finally relax, build trust, and discover what it means to belong.
