Notes from Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation
A Gentleman, a Goofball & a Snack EnthusiastMeet Bela Lugosi—Big Teddy Bear, Bigger Heart! Don't let the dramatic name fool you. Bela Lugosi isn't scary in the slightest! He's a big, lovable, slightly clumsy teddy bear who greets new friends with a friendly nose boop and a kiss! According to his foster, Bela is incredibly easy to have around and even easier to love. He's a social butterfly who adores people, especially those willing to scratch behind his ears. That's his happy place! Bela arrived at the shelter as a starving stray, so it's no surprise that food and treats are VERY important to him. His motto? Never miss a snack! He's made wonderful progress with house training, with only occasional accidents after his first few days in foster care. He's still learning basic commands, but with patience and those beloved treats, he's got plenty of potential. One little quirk? Bela is NOT a fan of car rides. He'd much rather stay home and supervise the snack cabinet! His foster gives him two enthusiastic thumbs up, and it's easy to see why. This sweet, goofy boy is ready for a forever home where he'll always have a full belly, gentle hands, and all the love he deserves. To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
