Notes from Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue

Welcome Raider, a four-month old Aussie (mom is purebred)/German Shephard (dad is purebred) mix. Mom and dad are being altered as a condition of the pups coming to rescue. Raider arrived at rescue with his brother Timmy. Their littermate Reese has already been adopted out through CCHDR. Here’s what our all-star dog trainer foster has to report: Raider is a fast learner. He is already very good in the house. He has medium energy so far and is just happy to hang out as he decompress and learns how to be a good canine citizen. Raider and Timmy will be adopted out separately. Raider is microchipped, on a vaccine schedule, and can go home on a neuter contract. Raider is in Atascadero, CA More photos, video, and updates: https://www.facebook.com/www.cchdrescue.org/ search in posts and photo albums. Interested in Raider? Please complete an application at: http://bit.ly/CCHDR_App Note: No transport or blind adoptions. Prospective adopters must have a plan in place to meet and pick up their dog from the foster location.

What happens next

  1. Contact Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
