10/22/26 10:00Rabbit can qualify for GAP funds if pulled by a rescue.10/18/26 17:12Rabbit recently went to foster and his foster parents had a lot to say about him! Over all they said that he enjoys going for walks, running, jumping, playing with children, and tug-of-war. He is cautious of men but does warm up with time and should be placed in a home without cats. They also said the following:• Loves his people! Much more focus on people at home than he did at shelter. Follows his people and chills when they are chilling.• Could use place training for when humans are eating and when people come to the door.• Trains easily/extremely food motivated.• Walks well on leash but needs treat/training to continue focusing on owner when distractions around• Pull strongly towards small dogs, but seems curious about dogs his size• Only barks in a few situations- Standing man reaches out, will give warning bark- Barks when people come to door• Amazing with kids- Never jumped or mouth- Loved to lay with them on the floor• Sleeps all night in crate, but wines for about 10 minutes first, gave treats when calm• Can touch anywhere, but doesn’t love paw touched• Love, squeak, toys, branded, collagen, Kong with yogurt, tug-of-warThis dog is such a sweet dog at home. After a few days, he was wagging his tail, And relaxing with us. He needs training, but response plus listens very well, a firm know and he stops. Might work best for experienced dog owners or with a family that will divide time for walks plus training.`09/20/26 10:42Rabbit has been placed on needs rescue URGENT because he has been showing signs of kennel stress. Rabbit does have some good days, btu there are many days where he shows high FAS while in the kennel.04/20/26 17:05Looking for your next bundle of joy? Meet Rabbit! Rabbit came to the shelter in early April bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. He is a super sweet boy that just loves exploring the world. Life in the kennel has been pretty rough for Rabbit, and he doesn't quite know what to do with his energy. The person who found him had him in their home for a couple days and said he was very calm with them. Rabbit wasn't made to be cooped up and he is looking forward to the day where someone will give him all the pace he deserves. How about it? Will you be the person to give this pup what he's craving?07/29/26 15:35What I did today:Rabbit greeted his human friend with lots of love and kisses before happily hopping into the car for his 5.5-mile adventure at Hellyer Park. Being a young pup, everything was new and exciting, and he eagerly explored while taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells the park had to offer. Throughout his outing, Rabbit remained calm and showed no reactivity toward other dogs, squirrels, geese, birds, bicycles (including e-bikes), scooters, or children. He handled every new experience with curiosity and confidence, making it a wonderful dayof learning and exploration. Rabbit had such an amazing time that he slept soundly in the car after his fun-filled adventure! What to know about this dog:• Treat motivated and trainable – Knows the cues `sit,` `look,` and `touch.` If redirection is needed, he returns to working for treats and responds well to food reinforcement• Deeply affectionate and people-oriented – always wants to be near his human companion, regularly checks in, and enjoys both giving and receiving affection• Good on a leash - Initially, he pulled on the leash due to excitement, but settled after a few minutes and consistently checked in with his humancompanion, when the handler stopped walking, he responded bystopping as well• Allows full handling – which includes his feet, ears, tail, face, and tummyThree words to describe me:Affectionate, Friendly, Playful
