Meet Ryder

Ryder may have the shortest little legs and the longest little body, but this adorable Beagle mix has a heart that is absolutely HUGE! This sweet boy has been through quite a journey, and we think it's about time his story gets the happiest ending!

When Ryder first joined OURS, he discovered the wonderful world of unlimited kibble and, well, let's just say he got a little carried away! He gobbled up so much food that his belly ballooned, sending us straight to the emergency vet in a panic. As it turns out, Ryder simply has some wonky ribs that make his tummy look a little unusual when it's full. Everything works just as it should, and all that kibble digested without a hitch! Crisis averted, and Ryder earned himself a pretty funny story!

But Ryder's journey hasn't been all laughs. He came to us with his sister, his very best friend and partner in crime. Sadly, she lost her battle with complications from distemper, leaving Ryder to figure out the world without her. And while our hearts broke for this sweet boy, Ryder showed us just how resilient a little dog can be.

He learned to stand on his own four very short legs, make new friends, and embrace life with the sweetest spirit imaginable. Today, Ryder is a happy, loving little guy who is ready to leave the hard chapters behind and start his greatest adventure yet — a forever family of his very own!
