Notes from City of Sacramento Animal Care Services

10/24 pups and pjs:Rex is a wonderful dog! He loves pets and will ask for them by gently nudging you or rolling on his back to show you his belly. He is pretty mild mannered and easy going for a husky, loves going outside for walks and exploring. He seems to be very interested in people and has no problem making friends! While I don’t know how he would do with other dogs, he did display interest in them without any aggressive indicators When I first brought him home after a walk, he did do little bit of “redecorating” by pulling on curtains while trying to get back outside. I think that he might have been a bit anxious about being in an unfamiliar dwelling and he only did it the one time. Otherwise he was very well behaved! Rex and I took some nice long walks around the park, where he spent a lot of time sniffing around and keenly watching people and other dogs. After our walks we would go back home to relax. He was very playful with the squeaky toys and balls. He doesn’t totally understand how to play catch but loved chasing after the ball or entertaining himself by knocking it around. He also loved riding in the car and sticking his head out of the window!
