Meet Arlee!

Look how she started, and look how far she’s come! Arlee is living proof that a rough beginning doesn’t define your future. When a skin infection left people counting her out, this resilient girl fought her way back and came out stronger than ever. Now, she’s ready for her next chapter: finding a forever family of her own.

At 2 years old, Arlee is the perfect mix of smart, playful, funny, and loving, with a protective side that makes her extra special. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once you earn her trust, you’ll have a loyal companion who wants to please you and be by your side.

Arlee is also a proud graduate of our PAWs to Prison Training Program, and this girl has quite the résumé! She knows commands like sit, down, roll over, stay, wait, and shake, plus many more. She’s crate trained, house trained, and ready to show off everything she’s learned with her future family.

Arlee gets along well with other dogs, although she may not see eye to eye with a large, dominant female. The right dog introductions and a compatible canine companion will be important in finding her the best fit.

What makes Arlee special is the balance she brings. She can be playful and silly, loving and affectionate with her trusted people, while also being watchful and protective. She isn’t necessarily the girl who will run up to every stranger looking for attention—but give her the time to know you, and you’ll discover just how much love she has to give.

Arlee has overcome so much. Now, she deserves someone who sees her potential, respects her need for trust, and gives her the forever home she’s been waiting for.
