Notes from United Hope for Animals

#A5791902 Ginger

is a 2-year-old, 50 lb spayed female Carolina Dog mix, possibly with some Cattle Dog, with a beautiful soft golden coat. Ginger came in as a stray and spent part of her shelter stay being a devoted nursing mama, protecting and caring for her puppies. Now that her babies no longer need her, it's finally Ginger's turn to be cared for.

The shelter has been overwhelming, and Ginger can be fearful and shut down. She needs a calm, patient adopter who will give her time to decompress and build confidence. She walks nicely on leash and seems to have had some training already. After giving so much to her puppies, this sweet mama deserves a peaceful home of her own.
