Notes from Tulare County Animal Control

It’s me, Matilda, da Land-hippo! I am currently enjoying a most fabulous Sleep Over with my weekend host family, and let me tell you… vacation life is GOOD. I had the goodest snoozles inside da house last night. Soft places? Check. Hoomanz? Check. Being a very important land-hippo? ALWAYS. But I do have one teeny-tiny complaint. My hooomanz seem to be under the impression that they can do other things besides cuddle ME. Can you believe da audacity?! MATILDA’S OFFICIAL CUDDLE CONTRACTPets 24/7. No exceptions. One 30-minute break for lunch. Two 15-minute breaks per day. Any failure to comply may result in dramatic hippo sighs and EXTREME SAD EYES. I mean, is a girl asking for THAT much?! Matilda is back at the shelter now are ready for a forever family. She would very much appreciate some attention, compliments, and possibly a few extra pets. (Please note: She does not recognize the concept of “enough pets.”)Matilda is cohoused with another dog at the shelter, but she may be happier as the only pet. No kitties for this girlie, they are too fun to chase. She tested very well with kiddos and just loves the attention! Before adoption she will be fixed, chipped, and vaccinated. Let’s find this girl a home where her union-approved cuddle schedule can finally be respected.
