Notes from The Barking Lot

Meet Chispa! DOB: December 2025Weight: 25lbsDisposition: Social, Active, PlayfulHistory: Chispa came into rescue after her owner moved to the United States and left her and her siblings at the refuge. She is now ready to find a loving family of her own. Amazing Qualities: Chispa is a social, energetic girl who loves to stay busy and have fun. Give her some water to splash around in or a place to explore, and she's in her happy place! She's got plenty of personality and would love nothing more than to have a family who will include her in their adventures and give her all the love and attention she's been waiting for. Best Home: Chispa would be a great match for an active family that wants a fun, energetic companion. She has lots of energy and would love a home where she can get plenty of playtime and opportunities to explore. She especially enjoys playing with water and digging, so a family who doesn't mind a dog that likes to have a little outdoor fun will have a great time with her. Interested in adopting? If you're interested in meeting Chispa, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt. Our dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada. About Angeles en CaminoThis dog is part of Angeles en Camino ("Angels on the Way"), a cross-border rescue mission bringing adoptable dogs from Manzanillo, Mexico, to loving homes in Southern California. Sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Manzanillo and made possible through a partnership between Animal Angels ZLO and The Barking Lot, this initiative gives vulnerable dogs a second chance at life while connecting two communities through rescue. To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Your adoption coordinator will respod to you via email once they receive your application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt
