Notes from Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation
Play Hard, Learn Lots, Love Big. Meet Skeet—Puppy Energy, Big Potential! Skeet recently recovered from a doggie cold, endured more than 10 days of isolation, and discovered that four walls and no playtime are NOT a puppy's idea of fun! Now that he's back in action, this sweet boy is ready to make up for lost time! Skeet loves running, playing with toys, and enjoying all the excitement the world has to offer. He knows `sit,` is working on `down,` and has plenty of puppy potential just waiting to be unlocked. On walks, Skeet can be an enthusiastic puller, but he starts settling in as the walk progresses. And if someone approaches? Skeet may sound the alarm! Apparently, he's appointed himself head of neighborhood security. Skeet is still a young pup who hasn't had much opportunity for consistent training, exercise, or mental stimulation. He needs someone who understands that puppies don't come with manners preinstalled! With patience, structure, plenty of activity, and positive reinforcement, this sweet, energetic boy has all the makings of a wonderful companion. Skeet isn't a finished product—he's a work in progress with a whole lot of love and potential! Skeet has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
