Notes from Northern California Sled Dog Rescue

Meet Freya, your easygoing, snuggly adventure buddy! Around 3 years old and 47 pounds, this husky mix is equal parts curious explorer and affectionate shadow.

Freya has settled into her foster home with impressive ease. She’s house-trained, non-destructive, trustworthy when left home alone, and rarely barks. Wonderfully affectionate, she’ll happily follow you around the house and soak up all the pets and belly rubs you can offer! She also gets along beautifully with the resident dogs, happily matching their vibe, whether that means playtime or peacefully doing their own thing.

Freya’s moderate energy level makes her a great fit for many homes. She’s treat-motivated and a quick learner, currently working on perfecting her leash-walking skills (she loves zigzagging this way and that to sniff ALL the things). While she can get a little bouncy when meeting new people or exploring new places, she’s quick to relax once the initial excitement wears off.

Freya is now looking for a family to call her own. Could she be your match? Follow Freya in foster with @adopt.this.dog.eastbay on Instagram!
