Notes from Northern California Sled Dog Rescue

Meet Tonto, a handsome Husky/German Shepherd mix with a wonderfully soft coat and an equally sweet personality. Weighing about 60 pounds, this gentle, affectionate boy happily soaks up attention and is ready to share his love with a family of his own.

Tonto is an easygoing, happy companion who enjoys heading out for walks and does well on leash. He’s eager to learn and would be a wonderful match for an active person or family willing to offer continued guidance, exercise, and plenty of affection.

He enjoys meeting new friends, both human and canine, and wants to be included in everyday life. From exploring new places to spending time with his people, Tonto is ready to discover all the good things that come with belonging to a family.

Fully vetted and ready for his next adventure, Tonto is looking for a loving home where he can keep learning, exploring, and being his sweet self.
