Notes from San Jose Animal Care Center

10/28/26 12:35From the foster:We had Gingersnap (A#1414539) at our house this past weekend for a Pit-jama party sleepover. She had fun running in the yard, playing with our dog and sunbathing. She got along well with my 2 year old female dog and learned how to play nicely, but also how to slow down and enjoy the sunshine and couch, at least for a short time! We went to the park and on some neighborhood walks and she did really well walking without too much pulling. Her leash manners are a work in progress but she’s a fast learner. Gingersnap is always up for adventure and exploring and whether it was the scary halloween decorations or the geese at the park, she was up for investigating. She slept nicely in her crate overnight and was quiet until we woke up in the morning to let her out. She’s a jumpy wiggle butt, but only because she’s desperate for you to pet her and give her love. She learned how to sit for her cuddles over the weekend instead of jumping on us and was so silly as she figured out how to sit and still do her wiggling and wagging. Between those ears and her enthusiasm she can really put a smile on your face. This bouncy girl wants nothing but a family to call her own and someone that she can love and burn off that energy with.
