Notes from The Barking Lot
Meet Chai! DOB: December 2025Weight: 33lbsDisposition: Active, Sweet, ShyHistory: Chai was brought to the shelter after her owner moved to the United States and could no longer keep her. She arrived with her siblings, Chispa and Chiquis. Amazing Qualities: Chai is a sweet girl with a playful side. She loves splashing around in water, and she's very social once she's comfortable. She's ready for a family that will give her plenty of affection and opportunities to have fun. Best Home: Chai would do well with an active family that can give her time to settle in and build confidence. She gets along well with dogs and children and has lots of energy. She loves playing with water and digging, so a family that enjoys outdoor play will have a lot of fun with her. Interested in adopting? If you're interested in meeting Chai, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt. Our dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada. About Angeles en CaminoThis dog is part of Angeles en Camino ("Angels on the Way"), a cross-border rescue mission bringing adoptable dogs from Manzanillo, Mexico, to loving homes in Southern California. Sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Manzanillo and made possible through a partnership between Animal Angels ZLO and The Barking Lot, this initiative gives vulnerable dogs a second chance at life while connecting two communities through rescue.
