Notes from Second Chance Dog Rescue

Meet Opal! Opal is an adorable 8-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua/Spaniel mix with a heart full of love and a personality that is sure to steal yours!

This sweet little lady is the definition of a Velcro dog! Opal's favorite place in the world is right by her person's side, and she'll happily follow you from room to room just to make sure she doesn't miss a moment together. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Opal might just be your perfect match!

Opal is crate trained, potty trained, a great eater, and does well on car rides. She's not particularly interested in toys because, in her world, spending time with her favorite human is much more exciting! She tolerates other dogs but would likely be happiest as the only pup in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention.

Opal has been through quite a bit medically over the past few months, and this brave little girl deserves a fresh start. She's looking for a calm, patient home where she can decompress, feel safe, and let her sweet, quirky personality shine again. She has done wonderfully with women, but her experience with men and children is limited, so a gentle, understanding environment will be important as she settles in.

After everything she's been through, Opal is ready for her next chapter—one filled with love, comfort, and a special person to call her own. Could that be you? Opal is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300.
