Notes from Santa Barbara County Animal Services - Santa Barbara
Meet Maverick - An Absolute Hidden Gem Starting To ShineWhen Maverick first came to the shelter as a stray, he was terrified and absolutely shut down. With plenty of love and compassion from the shelter staff and volunteers, he quickly came out of his shell and is now adored by everyone. He is a brave boy for giving us the chance to show him that people can be good. Maverick can be nervous at first, but once you earn his trust, he loves you like no other. Cuddles from Maverick feel so much more special because he’s showing you that despite this scary world, you make him feel safe. Maverick is currently working on his leash skills and is actively getting better every day. He can be nervous around other dogs and people, but he is actively learning to move past his fear. He is a playful boy who is happy to make new pup and people friends when they respect his boundaries. Maverick’s Wish List: ?A loving person who wants to get to know him? Chicken treats, Chicken, ChickenX2
