Notes from Forte Animal Rescue

Meet your future best friend! I’m a resilient Frenchie who is full of love. My journey started in a tough place — I was found on the streets covered in fleas and ticks, with damaged skin and bald spots. With patience, care, and time, I healed beautifully.

Today, I’m a healthy, playful adult dog who enjoys going on walks but is just as happy indulging in my absolute favorite hobby: sleeping and lounging around. I thrive on human attention and companionship, and because I love being the center of your world, I can sometimes get a little jealous when other dogs get the spotlight instead of me — but I’m working on it.

I’m now ready for a dedicated new family who will continue giving me the endless affection and ongoing love I truly deserve.

If you are interested in meeting Cookie, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Cookie is about 6 years old and weighs 25 lbs.]

What happens next

  1. Contact Forte Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Forte Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
