Notes from San Jose Animal Care Center

08/02/26 11:00Meet Chester! Chester is a handsome 1 year old boy that has been to our shelter a couple times. He has a lot of curiosity about the world and would be happy spending his day sniffing around. Although Chester has not been to an official playgroup, he has shown a lot of interest in other dogs and has played very nicely with one of them. He would engage in jumping around with the other dog and would run as if trying to get the other dog to chase him. Since being at the shelter again, Chester has been experiencing some kennel stress. The best remedy for this is being adopted into a loving home. Will you be the one to help Chester?09/24/26 17:08What I did today:I rode shotgun like a pro, keeping my walker company with a generous supply of kisses the whole way there. Out on the trail I was joined by my pal Pinky and his walker, and the two of us had a great timewalking together – turns out everything is better with a buddy! The highlight of the day was playing the stream, where I splashed around to my heart's content. What to know about this dog:• Okay leash manners, has some pull – non-reactive to passing people, cyclists, and cars• Interested in other dogs and attends shelter playgroup – walked great alongside his doggy pal Pinky today• Treat-motivated and knows `sit` – affectionate and loves to give his kisses• Playful boy that loves water and fetchThree words to describe me:Affectionate, Playful, Energetic
