Notes from Second Chance Dog Rescue
Meet PeeWee! PeeWee is an adorable 14-pound Beagle/Dachshund mix with big, beautiful eyes that will melt your heart! This sweet and gentle little guy has been through a lot, but he's learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all.
PeeWee came to us from a frightening shelter environment, and understandably, he was a little scared and unsure of people at first. When approached, he would sometimes growl because he didn't know who to trust. But since settling into his foster home, PeeWee has been blossoming into the wonderful dog we knew he could be!
Now that he's had time to decompress and feel safe, PeeWee is showing off his curious, playful, and affectionate personality. He loves exploring his surroundings and enjoys snuggling up next to his foster parents on the couch. He's also doing great with the three small Chihuahuas in his foster home! Whether they're wrestling, chasing balls, or simply relaxing together on a comfy pillow, PeeWee is happy to join in.
PeeWee is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash and going potty outside. With a little patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we're confident he'll continue making great progress.
Because of his sensitive nature and past experiences, PeeWee would do best in a calm, patient home without children or large dogs. A family who will give him the time and space to build trust, along with plenty of love and encouragement, will be rewarded with a truly special companion.
PeeWee has already come so far in such a short time, and we can't wait to see him continue to blossom in a forever home of his own. If you're looking for a sweet little companion with soulful eyes and a heart full of love, PeeWee just might be your perfect match! He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.
