Hank is the kind of dog who makes you fall in love with him almost immediately. He’s somehow the perfect mix of a sweet little old man and an adorable puppy, with the chunkiest little body, the cutest belly and a personality that makes him even more lovable.
More than anything, Hanky
loves people
. He’s super social, gentle and friendly with everyone he meets, and really just wants to be loved on. Give him some belly rubs and a cozy spot near his people and he’s a very happy boy. He’s pretty quiet and easygoing at home, loves his big comfy bed and is definitely a bit of a couch potato. But every once in a while, the puppy comes out and he gets the most adorable case of the zoomies — they last about three minutes before he decides that’s enough exercise for the day.
Hanky has done well with the dogs he’s met and seems perfectly comfortable having other animals around, although people are definitely his favorite. On walks, he isn’t reactive to other dogs or cats and tends to avoid confrontation. If another dog is barking at him, Hanky is perfectly happy to mind his own business and keep on moving.
He’s also been a great houseguest. He isn’t destructive and hasn’t shown any interest in chewing shoes, furniture or other things he shouldn’t. He
does
love his food, though, so you’ll have to keep an eye on him during walks because apparently even tree bark looks like a potential snack to Hanky.
He loves his food, his belly rubs and basically anyone willing to love on him. ❤️ He does use eye drops for his pesky allergies, but he takes them like a champ — a pretty small ask for a guy with this much love to give.
Hanky really is the best boy: sweet, affectionate, funny, easygoing and just looking for his forever person to love.
