*DALTON
Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat) · Adult (1 year 5 months) · Male · Large · Camarillo, CA
Notes from Ventura County Animal Regulation
Dalton is about a year and a half and came in as a stray in April. He is a high energy boy who loves treats, playing fetch and going for walks with volunteers. He knows all of his basic commands (sit, down, stay and shake), and is affectionate with volunteer friends! Recently, Dalton started limping on a hind leg, and a vet exam determined that he has a leg injury which requires restricted activity and pain management. Dalton, being a high energy pup, is struggling with the 'exercise restriction' part, and jumps repeatedly in his kennel which we are concerned is going to further injure his leg. We are looking for foster, adopter, or rescue for Dalton where he can continue to recover in a less stimulating environment. Sadly, in a shelter so well, an injured brindle pittie doesn't stand out to adopters and he is being overlooked. Please visit him at the shelter to adopt, or email vcar.foster@venturacounty.gov and let us know you're interested in fostering! Rescue groups can email vcar.rescue@venturacounty.gov.
