Notes from Canine Adoption and Rescue League

Breed: German Shepherd / Husky X DOB: 9/2023 Gender: male Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: large Color(s): tan / black / white Description: Hi, I'm Zeus, a magnificent German Shepherd / Husky X, with a heart as big as his namesake, the king of the gods! I'm a wonderful boy who is looking for my forever family to shower with love and loyalty. I'm an active boy who is always up for a good time, whether it's going on walks, playing with toys, or chewing on my favorite bones. But don't let my energy fool you – I am also a gentle and affectionate soul who just wants to connect. I'm a quick learner and already know some commands, such as coming when called, sitting on command, and staying. I'm also house-trained and already know how to use a doggie door! I walk well on a leash and I am friendly to strangers, so you'll be the envy of all your neighbors during our daily strolls and adventures. I am a young dog who was surrendered to the shelter due to landlord issues, but I'm ready to put that behind me and find my new best friend. I was fortunate to be saved but a caring human, but unfortunately it's only a temporary home while I wait for my forever home. With my playful spirit and outgoing nature, I would love to have another furry companion in the home to pal around with. Could you be the one to give me the second chance I deserve? It is unknown how I would do with children or cats as I haven't been around them yet. Please fill out an online application to meet me. *Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog at the Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary and giving him the chance for a better life.

What happens next

  1. Contact Canine Adoption and Rescue League using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Canine Adoption and Rescue League, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
