Notes from Melita's Dream Animal Rescue

Meet Nala – A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold

Nala is a beautiful Boerboel/Rhodesian mix with a heart just as big as her smile. Rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, she’s been given a second chance—and now she’s ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. At around 3 years old and 65 lbs, Nala is the perfect mix of playful, affectionate, amazing, smart and loving. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped—completely ready to start her next chapter. Nala absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. She has a sweet and loving nature and gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for many homes. She’s currently working with trainers and continuing to build confidence and social skills—showing every day just how much potential she has to be an incredible lifelong companion.

All Nala needs now is someone to give her the love and stability she’s been waiting for.

Nala is available for: • Adoption • Foster-to-Adopt

If you’re ready to open your heart to a loyal, loving dog, Nala is ready to meet you.

Please contact the rescue for more information and to schedule a meet-and-greet.

What happens next

  1. Contact Melita's Dream Animal Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Melita's Dream Animal Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
