Notes from Canine Adoption and Rescue League

Breed: Pit Bull X DOB: 10/2023 Gender: male Altered: yes Coat: short Size: large Color(s): grey/white Description: ***Needs a Foster Home*** This dog is in need of a foster home as well as a permanent home. If you are interested in fostering please fill out an online foster application. Hi, I'm Mikey, a very sweet Pit Bull X with a heart of gold and a nose for adventure. I'm in need of a new home as I was found as a stray and although my owners were found by my microchip, they never responded or came for me, but I know CARL will help me find my true forever home. I'm not reactive when I go out for a walk, but I do get excited over some smells and can be a bit of a puller to go and investigate it. I'm good with other dogs, but it's unknown at this time how I would do with cats or children. I'm still learning about the world and would benefit from a family who can continue my training and provide me with the love and care I deserve. I'm a real charmer and will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Could that be you? Please fill out an online application to meet me. *Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog at the Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary and giving him the chance for a better life.

Can't adopt right now? Canine Adoption and Rescue League is looking for a foster home for Mikey. Fostering is short-term, and the rescue usually covers food and vet care. Ask them about it.

What happens next

  1. Contact Canine Adoption and Rescue League using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Canine Adoption and Rescue League, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
