Meet Max: The 90lb Lap Dog You Didn't Know You Needed!

Hi there! I’m Max, a big, goofy, high-energy Lab looking for my forever adventure buddy. I absolutely love people—like, "I haven't met you yet, but I already love you" kind of love! Toys are my other passion, especially if they squeak or make me run fast.

I’m still learning that I’m not actually a tiny lap dog, so I might accidentally knock over a lamp with my happy tail (oops!). I’m super food-motivated, which means I’m a quick learner when treats are involved, but I definitely need some work on my basic manners and commands. I'm currently learning about other dogs and how to play nicely, so I’m looking for a patient home that will guide me on this journey. If you have an active lifestyle and a big heart, I’m ready to be your loyal, silly best friend!

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.

What happens next

  1. Contact Rescue Ranch using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rescue Ranch, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
