Notes from Northern California Sled Dog Rescue

Meet Melo – A Heart You’ll Never Forget ❤️

Melo is more than just stunning—he’s soulful. With deep brown eyes that seem to understand you instantly, this Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix has a quiet magic about him. Despite a heartbreaking start to life (including time spent locked in a dark backyard storage unit), Melo is learning to trust, love, and play again.

Melo adores romping with his petite canine friend and has discovered the joy of companionship. He weighs a solid 75 pounds and carries it with grace. Once he knows you, he’ll nuzzle in close—gentle, polite, and house-trained. He walks well on leash, rides calmly in the car, and brings a quiet dignity to every moment. Melo's DNA shows he is 51.9 husky and 48.1 German shepherd.

Melo is a reminder that healing is possible, and love transforms. You truly have to meet him to understand how extraordinary he is—inside and out.
