Bruce may be a little Chihuahua mix, but there is a whole lot of heart packed into that tiny body.

Bruce came to OURS from a hoarding situation where he lived alongside more than 40 other dogs in an overcrowded, chaotic environment. Understandably, learning that people could be safe—and that life could actually be pretty wonderful—took some time. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Bruce has come such a long way. The once-unsure little guy has blossomed into a happier, more confident pup who is ready for a home of his very own.

Bruce bonds deeply with his people, and with that devotion can come a little bit of a “this is MY person” mentality. He’ll do best with someone who understands that loving Bruce also means giving him clear boundaries and not letting his tiny Chihuahua confidence run the household. He responds beautifully to consistency and guidance—and underneath that occasional little tough-guy attitude is a dog who simply wants to feel safe and secure.

After everything Bruce has experienced, his favorite things are wonderfully simple: a comfortable couch, an easy stroll, a person he trusts, and the security of knowing he finally belongs.
