Notes from Rescue Ranch

Julius was adopted as a tiny puppy in 2023, now known as Charley. He is good on leash walks, good with other dogs, good with people), has a mellow energy, is easily food motivated. Charley likes the outdoors and does well off leash on trails, is friendly and social. The fiancé runs a daycare in their apartment and he is safe with even little children. Despite his size, Julius is a very mellow boy and enjoys lounging around and going on walks around the neighborhood, though having a yard to play or Sniff Spot opportunities would be better for his overall health and well-being. He hasn't been around kitties in the home and easily listens to 'leave it' with scampering neighborhood kitties and squirrels.

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.

What happens next

  1. Contact Rescue Ranch using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rescue Ranch, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
