Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m a 13 year old Maltese with a heart full of love! I was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter, but I.C.A.R.E. saved me and gave me a second chance at life. I was lucky enough to be adopted when I was 6 years old, and now I’m hoping to find another loving family to cherish me through my golden years.
I absolutely adore people, including children, and I bond quickly because all I really want is to be loved. I’m a faithful little companion who will happily follow you from room to room, keep your lap warm, and shower you with cuddles and affection. I love being close to my special person and will gladly be your little shadow!
I get along with other dogs and enjoy encouraging them to play with me. I’ve also made friends with my foster family’s cats and figured out pretty quickly that they’re wonderful company, too! I may be a senior girl, but I still enjoy playtime, leisurely walks, car rides, and plenty of snuggle time.
Before I was rescued, I spent my life living outdoors, so discovering the comforts of being an indoor dog has been wonderful.
At 13, I know what matters most in life: a cozy home, a kind heart, and someone who wants to love me just as much as I’ll love them. I have so much affection left to give, and I dream of spending my golden years curled up beside my very own person or family.
