Notes from Friends for Life Animal Rescue
Who says seven is the age to slow down? Certainly not Theo! This adorable 7-year-old, 15-pound mixed breed recently joined Friends for Life from another facility, and he's ready to find his forever home with someone who appreciates a little guy with a BIG zest for life!
Theo is a friendly, fun-loving fellow who's easy to handle and has lovely leash manners. He's always up for an adventure, whether it's heading out for a walk or enjoying some quality playtime with his favorite humans.
And speaking of playtime, this boy LOVES fetch! Tennis balls are a particular favorite, and he's even discovered the joys of hide-and-seek! During a recent visit to one of our buddy cottages, volunteers hid a tennis ball for Theo to find, and he thought it was the greatest game ever invented! He's an enthusiastic little detective who clearly enjoys putting his nose and brain to work.
Don't let his age fool you. Theo has plenty of energy and an infectious enthusiasm for having fun. He's an engaging, entertaining companion who will keep you smiling with his playful antics.
For Theo's comfort and quality of life, he's looking for an adult-only home without children or grandchildren who visit. He'll thrive in a household where he can enjoy a comfortable routine, plenty of attention, and all the tennis ball adventures his heart desires.
If you're looking for a charming little companion who's past the puppy stage but hasn't lost an ounce of his playful spirit, Theo might be your perfect match!
Come meet Theo! He's got a tennis ball, a whole lot of personality, and a forever home on his wish list!
To get started in the process of meeting Theo, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then come by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors.
No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!
Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member.
Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).
