Notes from Canine Rescue Coalition
MEET MEATBALL — YES, THE NAME FITS.
Meatball is exactly what you would expect from a dog named Meatball: big, goofy, handsome, slightly ridiculous, and completely lovable.
This sweet meathead is actually more of a calm, mellow guy. He isn’t looking to run a marathon or solve complicated problems. His goals in life are pretty simple:
Eat good snacks. Hang out with his people. Play with a pretty girl dog. Take a nap. Repeat.
Meatball loves female dogs and would be happiest in a home with a large-breed female buddy he can romp around with. We haven’t tested him with male dogs yet.
He would also be fine with kids around 7 years and older. Not because he’s mean — quite the opposite — but because Meatball is a lumbering giant who may accidentally send a little kid flying just by turning around.
Meatball came to us after being removed from a neglectful situation. When he arrived, he was terribly thin and you could see every rib and bone on his body.
Thankfully, those days are behind him.
Now he is filling out beautifully and turning into the giant, goofy Meatball he was always supposed to be.
House trained Rides well in the car Pretty decent on leash Loves female dogs Professional cuddler Certified goofball
And Meatball has VERY quickly learned that rescue life comes with excellent snacks.
His current food pyramid consists of:
Cow cheek rolls Bully sticks Chicken feet Duck feet Tracheas And the most important food group of all… COSTCO COOKIES.
Meatball is looking for someone who wants a big, handsome shadow following them around the house, leaning against them for affection, and staring at them like they are the greatest human being on Earth.
He has already experienced what it feels like to be forgotten.
Now he deserves to be someone’s whole world.
Think you need a Meatball in your life?
